This energetic position offers the opportunity to coordinate medical assistant activities, ensure smooth clinic workflows, and enhance patient experiences. Duties Oversee daily operations of medical assistants Coordinate scheduling, training, and performance evaluations for medical assistants to ensure high-quality patient service and compliance with healthcare standards Assist with intake procedures by verifying patient information, recording vital signs, and ensuring accurate documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Support clinical workflows by facilitating procedures such as medication administration, X-ray processing, and vital sign collection Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper ICD coding and documentation for billing and medical records accuracy Maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to support effective communication and patient care delivery Ensure adherence to safety protocols including Basic Life Support (BLS), infection control practices, and hospital policies in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency environments Record vital signs, conduct phlebotomy, perform injections and procedures, and update the electronic health records (EHR). Handle insurance verification, data entry, insurance pre-authorizations, and billing/coding. Maintain inventory of medical supplies, keep exam rooms clean and stocked, and manage lab requisitions. Skills Extensive knowledge of internal or family medicine Proven experience supporting patient service activities such as intake processing, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and patient education Proficiency with EHR systems for documentation, scheduling, and coding purposes; familiarity with ICD coding is essential Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology to assist with clinical procedures accurately Ability to work effectively in fast-paced clinic Excellent organizational and communication skills to coordinate multiple medical assistants while maintaining attention to detail in clinical documentation and compliance standards
