Job Description
Valley Institute of Research (VIR) is seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Research Coordinator to lead day-to-day research operations at our growing Harlingen site. This is not an entry-level CRC position. We are looking for someone who already knows how to independently run industry-sponsored clinical trials, takes ownership of their work, and is interested in helping build and grow a research program. What You'll Do Independently coordinate multiple Phase II-IV clinical trials from startup through closeout Manage screening, enrollment, study visits, source documentation and patient follow-up Work closely with the PI, Sub-Investigators and clinic staff on eligibility, safety and protocol requirements Maintain strong enrollment pipelines and proactively identify recruitment opportunities Coordinate labs, specimens, study supplies, investigational product and vendors Serve as the primary onsite contact for CRAs and sponsor/CRO teams Prepare for monitoring visits, SIVs and audits Maintain high standards for protocol compliance, data quality and timely study execution Help train and oversee research support staff as the site grows What We're Looking For 2+ years of hands-on clinical research coordinator experience required Experience independently managing industry-sponsored clinical trials Strong knowledge of GCP, informed consent, source documentation and AE/SAE reporting Comfortable managing multiple active protocols simultaneously Strong organization, communication and patient-facing skills Ability to work independently and solve problems without constant supervision Bilingual English/Spanish required Phlebotomy/specimen-processing experience

Our Harlingen team is supported by VIR's centralized research operations for regulatory, data, recruitment and study administration. VIR is actively expanding its South Texas research program across multiple therapeutic areas. For the right person, this position offers a genuine opportunity to grow beyond a traditional CRC role into site leadership and regional research operations.
Compensation:
$58,000-$65,000 annually, based on experience, plus performance-based bonus opportunity.
