In this vital role, you'll serve as the bridge between patients, insurance providers, and medical staff, ensuring accurate data management and efficient billing procedures. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster a positive experience for every patient while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Duties Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility using managed care systems to facilitate smooth billing and appointment scheduling. Collect, review, and update medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Assist patients with insurance-related questions, explaining coverage details, co-pays, deductibles, and billing procedures clearly and professionally. Prepare and process dental coding Coordinate with insurance companies to obtain pre-determinations, verify benefits, and resolve claim discrepancies promptly. Maintain organized documentation of medical records, insurance correspondence, and billing information for audit readiness. Support the dental office team by managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in/check-out processes, and administrative tasks to enhance operational efficiency. Requirements Proven experience in a dental office setting or dental office experience is required Strong knowledge of dental terminology, dental records management, and ADA dental coding. Familiarity with managed care processes and insurance verification procedures. Understanding of HIPAA compliance standards to protect patient privacy at all times. Excellent communication skills to explain complex insurance details clearly to patients. Office experience Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
