Job Description

Texas Hospice Providers is looking for a dependable, organized, and motivated Medical Office Administrator to join our team. Healthcare or medical office experience is NOT required. We are willing to train the right person. We are primarily looking for someone who is responsible, comfortable learning new systems, communicates well, and is willing to grow with our organization. What You'll Do You will support the day-to-day administrative operations of our hospice office, including: Answering and directing phone calls Managing emails, faxes, and incoming documents Organizing and maintaining patient and employee records Assisting with new employee onboarding and personnel files Supporting payroll and timesheet/visit documentation processes Assisting clinical staff with administrative needs Requesting and following up on medical records Communicating with physician offices, hospitals, facilities, patients, families, and vendors Scanning, uploading, filing, and tracking required documentation Helping ensure paperwork is completed accurately and on time Supporting billing and administrative follow-up as needed Maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Learning hospice administrative and regulatory processes Performing other general office and administrative duties as needed Who We Are Looking For You do not need previous hospice or medical office experience to apply. We are looking for someone who: Is willing and eager to learn Is dependable and punctual Is organized and pays attention to details Can communicate professionally by phone, email, and in person Is comfortable using computers and learning new software Has basic Microsoft Office skills Can manage multiple tasks and priorities Takes ownership of assigned responsibilities Can work independently after training Is comfortable working in a healthcare environment Treats confidential information with professionalism Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Basic computer skills required Good written and verbal communication skills Previous office, customer service, administrative, healthcare, or medical office experience is helpful but not required College students and recent graduates with strong organizational and communication skills are encouraged to apply What We Value We can teach hospice processes, our EMR system, and office procedures.
