Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and motivated Office Assistant / Medical Assistant to join our growing practice. This role includes both patient-facing responsibilities and independent administrative office work, including scheduling, chart preparation, follow-ups, paperwork processing, and office organization. The ideal candidate must be able to multitask, take initiative, and work independently with minimal supervision, as the physician travels between office locations. Medical office experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who is dependable, professional, organized, and eager to learn. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Job Responsibilities:
Schedule patient appointments and manage daily calendars Review patient medication history Verify if patients are due for urinalysis (UA) and other required screenings Assist patients with intake and medical history forms Prepare and maintain patient charts Obtain and record patient height, weight, and vital information Pull, organize, and file patient charts for each office visit Maintain accurate documentation and ensure office organization Communicate professionally with patients and medical staff Assist with workers' compensation follow-up processes and related documentation Learn and follow office SOPs for sending follow-ups and maintaining accurate records Coordinate and track paperwork related to patient visits and workers' compensation cases Assist with general front and back office duties as needed Physician travels between locations; candidate must be comfortable working independently and managing responsibilities with minimal supervision
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of office or medical assistant experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Ability to work independently and take initiative to complete tasks efficiently Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy in patient records Willingness to learn office procedures and follow established workflows
Pay:
From $15.00 per hour
