Job Description

Job Scope:
This Supervisor position is a key clinical member of the intensive MH outpatient program - ACT Team. The supervisor coordinates the daily activities of the clinical team which consists of Qualified Mental Health Professionals and Peer Providers and collaborates care with the ACT RN and Physician. The supervisor ensures that clinical care is provided to the patients served in such a way as to meet clinical need, meet physician orders, meet contractual standards, meet Medicaid standards for documentation and service provision, and programmatic fidelity. The supervisor provides and coordinates training to staff. The supervisor provides oversight of the clinical team to ensure professionalism, meets direct service time/productivity issues, and addresses unprofessional behavior within the clinical team. The supervisor coordinates with clinical services with external and internal service providers including MH outpatient and Crisis services. The supervisor is to establish a productive and cohesive workforce to provide excellent services to the patients served. May function as Acting Manager for Program Manager when assigned.
Education/licensure:
Current valid driver's license in state of residence. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Human Services that meets the Department's criteria for a QMHP.
Experience/Knowledge:
Ability to plan, organize and direct the work of others. Ability to gather, assemble, correlate and analyze facts and devise solutions to administrative problems. Ability to comprehend and implement program goals, objectives and operations and to relate these to administrative objectives and missions. Ability to develop, install, and evaluate administrative policies and procedures. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting departmental policies and procedures. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff, administrative personnel and officials and the public. Must have communication skills sufficient to create and maintain professional relationships with staff/consumers/parents and other professionals in related agencies. Must maintain compliance with all standards of contractual specification, mandatory training, safety programs, clients' rights, licensing/certifications, educational requirements, professional/ethical conduct, and any other standards as required of the position. P hysical requirements are bona fide occupational qualifications essential to the performance of the job: Mobile and able to bend and reach during an 8-12 hour day. Must be able to adequately implement SAMA, 1st Aid and CPR activities Visual/auditory acuity sufficient to evaluate attends to and monitor client needs. Work endurance sufficient to work an 8-hour day. Hours may vary; some weekend/after hours work required.
