Job Description

Job Summary The Patient Care Coordinator (Check-In) is responsible for creating a welcoming first impression and ensuring a smooth arrival experience for all patients. Typically, first to answer and direct calls and other forms of patient communication. This role manages patient check-in, verifies and updates demographics and insurance information, collects required forms and copayments, and ensures accuracy in the schedule. The coordinator communicates effectively with clinical and front office teams to maintain patient flow, minimize wait times, and address patient needs promptly. Strong customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential to support an exceptional patient experience. Duties Greet patients warmly and assist with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations using our medical office management software Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary documentation to facilitate billing and claims processing Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations Communicate effectively with patients regarding pre-visit instructions, test results, or follow-up care needs Support clinical staff by preparing patient charts, updating medical histories, and managing incoming correspondence Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing appointment calendars, and handling patient inquiries Use medical terminology accurately to explain procedures or instructions and ensure clear communication across the team Experience Prior experience working in a dental office setting is highly preferred Familiarity with dental terminology and healthcare procedures enhances effectiveness in this role Proven ability to provide excellent dental administrative support in a busy office environment Office experience demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail Dental office experience is a plus but not required; relevant healthcare background is valued Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute to quality patient care while developing their career in the healthcare industry. Pay:
$14.00 - $18.00 per hour
