Job Description

At Eyes of New Braunfels, we are dedicated to providing exceptional eye care to our community. We are looking for a part-time or full-time candidate, for our Clinical Optometric Technician and Patient Care Coordinator position. We offer flexible schedules, based on your availability. We are a small, but strong team at this clinic. As part of our team, you will be cross-trained to assist with preliminary patient testing, as well as manage the daily flow of patients, handle scheduling, coordinate vision and medical insurance verifications, and ensure the clinic runs smoothly. The ideal candidate has a passion for customer service, great attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities Preliminary Exam Testing:
Assist with preliminary testing accurately, including visual acuity testing, checking eye pressures, auto-refractor, lensometer, etc.
Patient Check-In/Out:
Warmly greet patients upon arrival, manage intake paperwork, and ensure a seamless, upscale check-out experience.
Financial Duties:
Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances from patient
Office Organization:
Maintain a clean and inviting waiting room and exam room.
Administrative Support:
Assist the optometrist and clinical staff with administrative tasks, scanning documents, and managing patient recalls.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
1+ years of medical or optometry office is highly preferred , but we are willing to train the right person with a stellar customer service background.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Tech-Savvy:
Proficiency with computers and electronic health records (EHR) software. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. A warm, empathetic, and professional demeanor. Strong multitasking skills with the ability to stay calm and organized during peak hours We are newly opened practice, located next to the new Costco in New Braunfels! Our practice has been growing steadily, and we are looking for a new team member to join our fun and friendly work family, and grow with us.
Pay:
From $15.00 per hour
