Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Scheduling Manager to oversee our Home Health Scheduling team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising scheduling operations, ensuring efficient coordination of patient visits, mentoring team members, and maintaining high standards of communication and compliance. This leadership role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and prior experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and support the scheduling team to ensure daily operations run smoothly. Oversee patient visit scheduling and clinician assignments, ensuring timely and accurate coordination. Monitor scheduling performance metrics (accuracy, timeliness, coverage) and report outcomes to leadership. Handle complex scheduling issues, escalations, and urgent requests. Ensure adherence to agency policies, procedures, and home health regulations. Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative teams to support quality patient care. Review workflows and recommend process improvements for efficiency and patient satisfaction. Support weekend scheduling operations and provide guidance to team members on rotation. Serve as the primary point of contact for scheduling-related inquiries and updates.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2+ years of experience in home health scheduling or healthcare administration. Prior experience in a leadership, senior scheduler, or team lead role strongly preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency with EMR systems and scheduling platforms. Ability to manage priorities, solve problems proactively, and make decisions under pressure. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
