Patient Safety Coordinator Shannon Health - 3.8 San Angelo, TX Job Details Full-time 15 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Job Summary The Patient Safety Coordinator serves as a departmental and organizational consultant for the event reporting system. Under the management of the Risk Manager, this team member interacts with various Shannon departments and leaders to develop safety monitoring systems that drive change. Collaborates with the Risk Manager to maintain systems within the organization to detect, monitor, prevent, organize, measure, investigate, report, and manage patient adverse events, malpractice claims, incident reports, and other indicators of potential patient harm. Ensures adherence to regulations and standards; and implements policies and procedures necessary to support risk-related processes. Qualifications Education Required High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent Preferred Associate's degree in Healthcare, Nursing, or related
Experience:
Required Five years of experience in Healthcare Preferred Two years of experience in Patient Safety, working directly with online safety- event reporting systems, or facilitating interdisciplinary improvement teams in a healthcare setting, or other relevant experience
Certification/Licensure:
Preferred Registered Nurse (RN), with authorization to practice in the
