As a Clinical Staffing Coordinator this position assists the Assistant Director of Nursing, ensuring quality clinical care and compliance with regulatory requirements for households assigned in addition, he/she is responsible for analysis, planning, and execution of nursing staff scheduling. Primary staffing responsibilities include the preparation of daily/weekly/monthly master schedules based upon resources and business needs. As coordinator of staffing schedules, the position manages interviews, hiring processes, PTO management and shift requests, ensuring staffing needs are met based on census and acuity levels. In addition, this position will be available to fill any open staffing position as needed. What you will do in this role: Manages all nursing department schedules and ensures Master Schedule is up to date with all information in the timelines specified as directed by the Assistant Director of Nursing. Manages nursing staff time-off requests in accordance with departmental and company policies. Serving as one of the main/initial points of contact for caregivers to coordinate rescheduling shift vacancies. Ensures adequate staffing levels are maintained and coordinates schedule changes by locating alternative resources as needed. Resolves scheduling issues with staff members. Requests assistance from leadership when needed. Prepares and distributes "draft" schedule for the following month to employees by the 15th of the current month; then completes final schedule by the 25th or other timelines as may be adjusted by the ADON Reviews staff attendance sheets with the ADON by Thursday of each week. Ensures PRN (as needed) staff receive calendars by the 1st of each month and PRN calendars are completed properly and turned in by the 10th of the month or other timelines as may be adjusted by the ADON Discusses individually with staff members and resolves any conflicts with schedule changes prior to final shift distribution Completes daily staffing sheets for the upcoming month and make available for staff to cover open shifts. Compare daily staffing sheets to schedule to ensure accuracy Collects shift change request forms and verifies their accuracy and compliance with guidelines. Routinely coordinates with payroll to ensure the biweekly payroll is accurate, resolves missed punches and other time keeping issues and ensures timecards reflect proper shift differentials. Evaluates Payroll Based Journal for accuracy Serves as floor nurse to fill open staffing needs Ensures agency staffing is tracked weekly, and billing is correct prior to submission for payment.
Attendance Track:
Reviews of tardy and absence reports for staff Handles all residents Protected Health Information (PHI) in a confidential, private, and secure manner. Manages communication amongst households assigned, ensuring timely and accurate information is delivered to appropriate parties. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Certifications/Qualifications:
Required:
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly proficient with scheduling and other office technology Working knowledge of skilled nursing regulations, a plus Adaptability with last-minute changes Ability to utilize scheduling software, Excel, and email communications Licensed Vocational Nursing License in good standing
Preferred :
Proficient in speaking and writing Spanish Associate's degree in nursing or health-related degree
EQUIPMENT AND COMPUTER OPERATIONS
Computer knowledge is essential, as well as the ability to operate general office equipment such as copier, telephone, and fax. Training will be provided to familiarize incumbent with work-related equipment to ensure safety and proper operation during use.
WORK SCHEDULE
Core work hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday; however, hours are subject to change depending on resident, training, and operational needs. Special projects or assignments may require additional working hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays. This position may or may not take call as needed.

Primary office is located onsite at The Mission
ATTIRE/DRESS CODE
Nursing scrubs are appropriate for wear. Slip-resistant, closed-toe shoes required. Employee ID badge or name tag must be always worn while on duty.
