Web Site & Content Coordinator Job Type/Hours per Week Full-time/40 Hours per Week Salary Commensurate with experience. Job Summary Responsible for the daily maintenance, compliance, technical architecture, and continuity of the Heartland National TB Center (HNTC) web site. Manages and maintains HNTC databases, ensures data accuracy, security, and integrity. Works collaboratively with the Director of Information Systems, Media Services staff, HNTC project staff and partners to maintain content and image of the Web site and integrity of databases in accordance with UTHSC Tyler standards and consistent with the activities of the HNTC Project; provides IT support to HNTC staff and on HNTC workstations related to software, hardware, performance issues, and works collaboratively with Information Systems technical staff; supports trainings, product development/review, and database creation/support. Key Responsibilities Web Organizes, updates, and maintains the HNTC web site ensuring consistency of content and style. Coordinates with UTHSC Tyler Information Systems and Public Affairs and Marketing to ensure HNTC web designs, logos, resources and icons are consistent with UTHSC Tyler standards and policies. Compiles and analyzes website utilization statistics; collaborates with HNTC staff to identify needs for the HNTC web-site; designs web page text and visual content, navigational links, and page layouts. Writes code using HTML, Dynamic HTML, Java, JavaScript, CSS, Visual Basic, Perl or Common Gateway Interface (CGI), T-SQL, MS SQL Server, WYS/WYG editors and page builders; MS Access; responsible for audio/video conversions, C#; responsible for updating and maintaining HNTC resources on partner websites; responsible for conversion of website, resources, etc. to 508 compliance. Database Maintenance Maintains databases for a multitude of HNTC consultation, training and administrative projects, reports, etc. Writes macros and queries databases as requested. Supports database development, revisions and problems of databases developed/used by other

staff. Offers guidance to HNTC staff learning how to use developed databases. Responsible for data entry, reporting and process improvement working with various HNTC teams. Publishing/Layout Provides design support for brochures, ads, flyers, other promotional publications and for educational and training resources using Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and other various types of software. Distribution Lists Develops and maintains accurate e-mail distribution lists used for HNTC announcements, to include, but not limited to, trainings, resources, HNTC newsletter, and Center marketing. Responsible for sending announcements to the appropriate partners and customers as directed by HNTC policy. Writing/Resource Review/Training Proofreads HNTC resources for technical accuracy; participates on resource review teams. Edits resources and maintains revision of resources. Provides support for adding special effects and providing a technical review of presentations and documents, etc. Sets up and provides technical assistance on audio-visual equipment during training events and meetings. Processes pre and post training data into database programs, queries and prepares reports. Assists with the development and updating of presentations/ abstracts, etc. Assists in writing reports, graphs, charts, etc. required to meet HNTC reporting requirements. Assists with securing bids related to technical/web initiatives. Trouble-shooting Resolves hardware/software/performance issues with IT staff that affect the web site. Responds to issues involving on-site HNTC hardware, software, and performance and provides resolution with the appropriate IT staff communication and involvement. Responsible for tracking and reporting HNTC inventory. Customer Service Coordinates with UTHC Tyler IT staff to secure and maintain HNTC IT systems and equipment consistent with HNTC training, medical consultation and resource development needs. Provides excellent customer service to all levels of users and encourages accuracy, timeliness, consistency of style, and navigation across the web site. May travel to support off-site trainings and attend meetings. Adheres to internal controls established for the department. Other duties as assigned. Required Education/Experience Bachelor's degree. Two (2) years experience in related duties. Accompanying Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Proficiency in C# (.NET Framework/Standard/Core) Proficiency in at least one version of SQL (T-SQL, MySQL, SQLite, etc.) Proficiency in Microsoft Visual Studio. Experience in delivering training for websites, digital tools, or software. Experience with Google Analytics (GA4 preferred). Proficiency in creating websites with SEO. Strong ability to create goodwill with staff, faculty, students, and community. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and trustworthiness with confidential information. Ability to set priorities, manage time, and accomplish goals with limited supervision. Ability to communicate effectively with clients that may have limited technical understanding and produce solutions to address their needs. Ability to see a project through from conception to completion either working individually or with a team. Commitment to the mission, vision and objectives of the university.
