New Patient Coordinator/Medical Records Advanced Spine and Pain Draper, UT Job Details Full-time $17 - $18 an hour 6 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off Qualifications Bilingual Medical documentation Medical scheduling Medical administrative support Patient interaction Full Job Description Looking for a full-time patient coordinator/medical records assistant for our clinic in Draper. Bilingual is a plus! Hours will be Monday - Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM and Friday from 8 AM to 1 PM. Position will include health insurance, paid holidays and paid time off. Looking for someone with a great work ethic and a positive attitude. Responsibilities and Duties Answer the telephone in a courteous and professional manner within 3 rings Schedule appointments according to desired schedule. Organize overflowing paper documents and distribute required information. Verify and maintain answering service schedule Schedule referrals for both Tooele office and Draper office while also running eligibility for all clinic appointments Respect and maintain the privacy and dignity of patient, and assure patient confidentiality at all times. Greeting patients when they enter a medical office. Explain necessary medical and insurance forms and gather those forms along with any insurance co-pays. Collect and deposit fees according to protocols, prepare and balance daily financial registers and submit all forms and fees to the billing department. Educate patients on office procedures and policies. Determine the financial status of patients and their eligibility for health services, assist patients in accurately completing appropriate forms and documents for the required information Enter patient demographics and information into the software for new patients, along with any verifying any changes for returning patients. Schedule, Fax, Scan all required documents for treatment of patient along with all necessary procedures Call and schedule necessary exams, labs, appointments with other facilities for proper coordination of care
