About the Role We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Biologics Coordinator to join our dermatology team. This individual will manage all aspects of the biologic treatment process for our patients—from insurance approvals to patient education—ensuring a seamless and compassionate experience for those receiving advanced dermatologic therapies. Key Responsibilities Coordinate the biologic enrollment process for patients prescribed specialty medications. Complete and submit prior authorizations and appeals through insurance portals. Communicate with insurance companies to resolve denials and ensure timely approval of treatments. Collaborate with biologic manufacturer representatives to facilitate patient assistance programs, acquire samples, and stay informed about new therapies. Serve as the primary point of contact for patients regarding biologic therapies, answering questions about medications, treatment plans, and scheduling. Manage refill requests , monitor incoming faxes , and coordinate communication with pharmacies and referring providers. Maintain and track lab orders , enter lab data into the electronic medical record (EMR), and ensure all required testing is up to date. Process medical records requests and releases in accordance with privacy and compliance standards. Work closely with the clinical and administrative teams to support efficient office workflows and excellent patient care.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a Dermatology Clinic or Medical Office (2+ Years Required) Knowledge of insurance verification, prior authorization, and appeals processes Strong communication and organizational skills Experience with EMR systems and CoverMyMeds (preferred) Ability to multitask and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment Compassionate, patient-focused attitude
