About Anew Therapy Anew Therapy is a behavioral health clinic dedicated to delivering innovative, evidence-based mental health treatments. We specialize in advanced therapies, including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Spravato (esketamine), to support patients with treatment-resistant conditions. Our mission is to improve access, outcomes, and patient experience through compassionate care and operational excellence. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly detail-oriented Medical Billing Manager to lead and optimize our full revenue cycle management (RCM) strategy. This role is responsible for both high-level oversight and hands-on execution of billing operations, ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement across all services. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in behavioral health billing, with specific experience in TMS and Spravato (esketamine) reimbursement, and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented clinical environment. Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue Cycle Management Leadership Develop, implement, and continuously improve the clinic's end-to-end RCM strategy Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as days in A/R, denial rates, and collection rates Identify revenue leakage and implement corrective actions Ensure compliance with payer policies, regulatory requirements, and documentation standards Billing Operations Oversee and actively participate in: Claim submission (electronic and paper) Payment posting and reconciliation Denial management and appeals Insurance follow-ups and collections Ensure clean claim submission and minimize rejections Manage credentialing and payer enrollment processes as needed Prior Authorizations Lead and execute prior authorization workflows, particularly for: Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Spravato (esketamine) Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer-specific requirements and documentation standards Work closely with clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate submission of authorization requests Specialty Behavioral Health Billing Manage billing processes specific to behavioral health services Ensure accurate coding and billing for: TMS (including session tracking and medical necessity documentation) Spravato (drug billing, REMS compliance, and observation billing) Stay current on CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding updates relevant to mental health services Team Collaboration & Training Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and leadership teams to align billing practices with care delivery Train and support staff on documentation, coding, and billing best practices Serve as the primary point of contact for billing-related inquiries and escalations Systems & Process Optimization Evaluate and improve billing systems, workflows, and automation opportunities Work with EHR/PM systems to ensure accurate configuration and reporting Generate and present regular financial and operational reports to leadership QualificationsRequired 3-5+ years of medical billing experience, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or managerial role Proven experience in behavioral health billing Direct experience billing for: Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Spravato (esketamine) Strong knowledge of insurance payers, prior authorization processes, and denial management Proficiency in EHR and practice management systems Deep understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills Preferred Experience in a startup or growth-stage healthcare environment Familiarity with REMS programs and specialty medication billing workflows Certification (e.g., CPC, CPB) is a plus Key Competencies Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance Strong communicator and cross-functional collaborator Proactive and solutions-driven mindset Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
