Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Provider to oversee the clinical and procedural operations of our busy vascular clinic. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes, optimizing clinical workflows, and providing leadership to other providers and support staff. You'll also be performing a wide range of minimally invasive vein procedures, including endovenous laser ablation (EVLA), radiofrequency ablation (RFA), sclerotherapy, ambulatory phlebectomy , and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and Supervise Clinical Operations:
Manage and support a team of providers, medical assistants, sonographers, and front-office staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and the highest standard of patient care.
Perform Vein Procedures:
Lead and conduct high-volume, minimally invasive vein procedures, including EVLA, RFA, sclerotherapy, and ambulatory phlebectomy.
Clinical Diagnosis & Treatment:
Diagnose and treat various forms of venous disease, including chronic venous insufficiency and venous reflux, while ensuring accurate documentation and patient education.
Team Training & Development:
Mentor and train junior providers, ensuring they are following best practices, maintaining competency, and improving their procedural skills.
Operational Efficiency:
Contribute to the development and implementation of operational protocols that enhance efficiency, reduce patient wait times, and improve clinical outcomes.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other providers and administrative leadership to ensure coordinated care across all aspects of patient treatment.
Quality Improvement:
Lead and participate in initiatives that improve clinical outcomes, enhance patient satisfaction, and optimize clinical workflows.
Maintain Clinical Standards:
Ensure compliance with all medical regulations, documentation requirements, and clinic policies.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in diagnosing and treating venous and vascular conditions, including chronic venous insufficiency, varicose veins, and venous reflux disease. Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience performing vein procedures, including but not limited to: Endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) Sclerotherapy (liquid and foam) Varithena Ambulatory phlebectomy Strong working knowledge of vascular imaging, including duplex ultrasound interpretation in the context of venous disease. Demonstrated success in managing or leading clinical teams, including providers, sonographers, medical assistants, and administrative staff. Experience in hiring, training, performance evaluation, and fostering a culture of accountability. Ability to mentor junior providers and create structured clinical growth pathways. Familiarity with lean workflows, clinical efficiency models, and high-volume outpatient operations. Proficient with EHR systems, documentation best practices, and procedure-specific coding/billing protocols. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on team-based care and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Passion for delivering excellent outcomes with a focus on patient experience, education, and long-term wellness. Current medical license (or ability to obtain one in Utah) and in good standing with all relevant boards or certifying bodies. Preferred (But Not Required): Prior experience as a lead or supervising provider in a high-volume outpatient or procedural clinic. Familiarity with lean clinical workflows, efficiency protocols, and quality metrics in fast-paced environments. Strong interest in continuous improvement, team development, and scaling clinical care models. Credentialed to perform vein procedures within your scope of practice in Utah. Certification in venous and lymphatic medicine (e.g., ABVLM) or relevant ongoing CME in vascular care.
