Position Summary:
The Clinical Supervisor provides leadership, coordination, and clinical oversight for our clinical staff within our primary care practice. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining efficient clinical operations. The supervisor serves as a bridge between administration and clinical staff, overseeing clinical workflows, regulatory compliance, and staff development.
Essential Job Functions:
Administrative / Operational Oversee back-office operations. Conduct regular performance evaluations for Medical Assistants. Train and coach, the team on Revere Health and clinic policies. Proactively seek opportunities to develop and grow the MA team. Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and unity. Identify process improvement opportunities; implement and measure operational and clinical quality initiatives. Maintain regulatory compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards within the clinic. Support patient experience initiatives and manage escalated patient complaints. Train and support the team in Value-Based Care (VBC); responsible for reporting metrics weekly, including facilitation of a standing weekly huddle. Lead monthly staff meetings with Administration and provide clinical updates. Clinical Supervision / Patient Care Support Supervise, schedule, and mentor Medical Assistants and other clinical support staff. Serve as the EMR expert for the practice. Provide hands-on training and competency validation for core MA skills, including vitals, injections, phlebotomy, EKGs, specimen handling, and rooming workflows. Monitor and audit clinical documentation to ensure adherence to protocols and standing orders. Optimize patient flow through efficient rooming procedures, pre-visit preparation, and provider turnaround time management. Maintain clinical inventory and ensure compliance with infection control and instrument sterilization procedures. Coordinate with providers and leadership on patient care issues and workflow improvements. Lead in-service education and maintain training records, BLS, and CPR compliance. Act as the primary liaison between clinical staff, and leadership for day-to-day escalations. Cover shifts and provide clinical support when staffing needs arise secondary to clinical supervisor role. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant. Previous experience in a leadership role, such as a Lead Medical Assistant, Supervisor, or Charge role, with experience managing clinical workflows and staff performance. Current BLS and CPR certification is mandatory. Interpersonal skills with the ability to lead conflict resolution among staff and address patient concerns with professionalism and empathy. Able to remain calm, organized, and decisive in a high-volume, fast-paced primary care environment.
