Posting Details Position Information Posting Number S06800P Position Title Clinical Experience Coordinator III Department Social Work Location Arlington Position Status Full-time Work Schedule Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm Salary Salary is commensurate based on qualifications and relevant experience up to $55,000 Pay Basis Bi-weekly Job Summary The Clinical Experience Coordinator III is responsible for the identification, selection and placement of social work BSW , BSSUT and MSW students in the appropriate Practicum education settings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Match students with appropriate Practicum placements based on availability, suitability for the student level (e.g., BSW , BSSUT and/or MSW ) and specialty (e.g., Direct Practice and CAP -Community and Administrative Practice) and student interest. Function as the expert resource between Agency Instructors, School of Social Work ( SSW ) Liaisons, and students for placement related issues (including, but not limited to, approval of transfers, approval of POEs, and other approvals not requiring the approval of Director). Advise students regarding Practicum placement requirements and agency availability. This includes advising students in the undergraduate, graduate, distance, and online education programs by navigating UTA and Office of Practicum Education databases to complete student matches and placements in approved agencies. Assist with training and orientation of students, SSW Liaisons, and Agency Instructors. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in social work from a CSWE -accredited program. Two (2) years of work experience as a social worker. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in social work from a CSWE -accredited program. Two (2) years of post-graduate experience in social work with adolescents or adults. One (1) year of supervisory experience in an institution of higher education. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication with students, staff, colleagues, and Practicum instructors and agency administrators. Ability to think critically and troubleshoot with students, Practicum Liaisons and Practicum Instructors in regard to internship problems. Ability to resolve non-routine problems using acceptable business practices. Ability to make decisions with minimal supervision. Skilled at being a team player and able to collaborate with internal and external clients, students and members of the UTA campus and the communities served.
