In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our diverse patient community, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from appointment scheduling to follow-up care. Your energetic and compassionate approach will help bridge language barriers, coordinate patient needs efficiently, and support the overall operation of our medical or dental practice. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while developing valuable skills in healthcare administration. Duties Greet patients warmly and assist them with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations in both English and Spanish. Verify patient information, insurance details, and update records accurately within the electronic health record system. Communicate clearly with patients regarding treatment plans, pre-appointment instructions, and follow-up care in a bilingual capacity. Manage incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure satisfaction. Support medical or dental staff by preparing patient charts, collecting necessary documentation, and maintaining organized files. Coordinate with insurance companies and third-party providers to facilitate claims processing and resolve billing issues. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards while supporting daily administrative operations. Qualifications Previous experience working in a medical or dental office environment is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare administrative procedures. Proven ability to support office operations efficiently with excellent organizational skills. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required; exceptional communication skills are essential. Familiarity with medical office software, electronic health records (EHR), and billing systems is advantageous. Experience in a fast-paced environment demonstrating adaptability and attention to detail. Knowledge of dental office procedures is a plus but not mandatory.
