Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring a seamless experience from appointment scheduling to follow-up care. Your energetic approach and excellent communication skills will help foster positive relationships with patients and support the smooth operation of our medical practice. You will coordinate patient services, manage administrative tasks, and ensure compliance with health regulations, all while maintaining a warm and professional environment. Responsibilities Schedule and confirm patient appointments using patient management software and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, addressing inquiries via phone and client communication channels Collect, verify, and update patient information accurately while maintaining strict confidentiality in accordance with health regulation policies Assist patients with insurance questions, billing procedures, and understanding health coverage options Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR), ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with medical terminology standards Support medical administrative functions such as data entry, typing reports, and preparing correspondence Coordinate follow-up appointments and ensure timely communication of treatment plans to patients Support office workflow through accurate communication between patients and providers as well as keeping the office looking well-kept and professional Other duties as assigned Requirements Proven experience in a medical office or healthcare setting with strong knowledge of health regulation policies Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with patient management software and EMR/EHR systems Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person Knowledge of health insurance processes, billing procedures, and maintaining patient confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines Strong understanding of medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR) management practices Ability to multitask efficiently in an office environment while maintaining attention to detail Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute with accuracy Join us in making a difference by providing exceptional patient care!
