Role:
Because We Care II Inc is looking for a compassionate and organized Patient Coordinator to join our dedicated team in Norfolk, VA. Responsibilities:
Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional front-office experience Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments and follow-up visits Verify patient insurance eligibility and collect necessary documentation Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system Communicate effectively with clinical staff to coordinate patient care and referrals Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and requests with empathy and professionalism Process patient intake forms, consent documents, and billing information
Requirements:
Prior experience in a patient coordinator, medical receptionist, or healthcare administrative role preferred Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and medical scheduling software Knowledge of insurance verification and basic medical billing processes Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinical environment High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare certification a plus Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining patient confidentiality (HIPAA)
