Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dental Insurance Coordinator. As a Dental Insurance Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Dental office and providing excellent customer service to our patients. If you have a strong background in Dental records, insurance verification, sending Pre-Determinations, being able to read EOB's, scheduling production, presenting treatment plans, along with exceptional communication skills, we encourage you to apply.Responsibilities:
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures
- Collect patient information and update electronic dental records
- Assist with dental coding and billing processes
- Coordinate referrals to other dental providers as needed
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Present treatment plans to patients
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information according to HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with dental professionals to ensure efficient patient care
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in the dental field
- Previous experience working in a dental office or similar healthcare setting
- Proficiency in dental terminology and dental billing procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with Dentrix
