Unit Coordinator - Acute Cardiac / IMCU Stepdown Acute Cardiac Stepdown Unit delivers comprehensive care to patients with a variety of complex cardiac conditions. This includes individuals with heart failure, cardiac rhythm disturbances, newly implanted permanent pacemakers and defibrillators, as well as those recovering from coronary interventions, ablation procedures, and myocardial infarction. The Acute Cardiac Stepdown team also expertly manages patients both before and after cardiac catheterization, and provides acute care for stroke patients. Job Summary The Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service. Education Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN (Required) MSN (Preferred) Certification/Licensure Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing BLS within 90 days of hire Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred. Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire NIH within 1 year of hire Experience 18 Months of acute care RN experience(required) Experience in Telemetry and/or Medical Previous charge experience preferred Acute Care nursing background preferred
