Job Description
Dental Patient Coordinator Full Time Position (Tu-F 7:00am-4:30pm) Ellingsen & Denison Endodontics is seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Dental Patient Coordinator to join our specialty endodontic practice. Our front office team plays an essential role in creating a welcoming, professional experience for our patients while keeping the day-to-day operations of the practice running smoothly. We are looking for someone who is confident communicating with patients, comfortable handling insurance and financial information, and takes pride in accuracy and organization. Responsibilities Answer and manage incoming phone calls in a friendly, professional manner Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments Greet patients and provide a warm, welcoming experience Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility Obtain and document accurate insurance information Review treatment estimates, financial policies, and payment expectations with patients Accurately document patient financial information and payments Post payments and maintain accurate financial records Coordinate referrals and communicate with referring dental offices Obtain necessary patient records, radiographs, and referral information Manage patient check-in and check-out Maintain accurate and complete patient records Communicate effectively with patients, referring offices, and the clinical team Assist with treatment coordination and follow-up as needed Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements Help maintain an organized, professional, and positive front office environment Support the doctors and clinical team with administrative needs as needed What We're Looking For- The ideal candidate is: Friendly, professional, and genuinely enjoys helping people Highly organized and detail-oriented Reliable and punctual Comfortable communicating by phone and in person Able to multitask and prioritize in a busy healthcare environment Comfortable discussing financial information with patients Confident learning and navigating dental insurance benefits Accurate with data entry, payments, and financial documentation A team player who communicates well with coworkers Able to handle sensitive patient information with discretion Someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities and follows through Preferred Qualifications- Previous dental front office experience Experience with dental insurance verification and benefits Experience with dental practice management software Experience with scheduling and treatment coordination Familiarity with dental terminology Dental experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who has excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
