MEDICAL SURGICAL
team! Black River Health has an immediate opening for a full-time Patient Care Technician (PCT) / Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) in our Med/Surg Department. The PCT/HUC provides supportive services and direct and indirect patient care. Organizes and coordinates efficient delivery of care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs as part of the nursing team in non-clinical tasks and coordinates clerical activities of the unit.
This position is:
Full-Time, Day Shift Weekender, 72 hours per pay period, paid for 80, benefited
Essential Duties:
Provides patient care following nursing/medical orders and coordinates clerical activities on the unit to promote patient-focused care. Accurately documents and reviews orders in the electronic medical record according to established standards. Recognizes changes in signs and symptoms and promptly reports the patient's condition to the RN.
Educational Qualification:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred Current certification as a Nursing Assistant BLS certification within 3 months of hire Your future starts here.
