None specified Position Overview The Medical Equipment Planning Intern will work closely with a team of experienced medical equipment planners who develop medical equipment requirements for healthcare facilities undergoing new construction and renovation. This internship offers hands-on experience supporting project delivery, client coordination, and medical equipment documentation over a 10-12 week summer period. As an intern, you will contribute to work that supports project goals, client expectations, and budget requirements while gaining exposure to healthcare design and medical equipment planning practices. Principal Responsibilities Review proposed floor plans for healthcare construction projects and develop a room legend in IMEG's medical equipment database. Conduct research on technology assigned by a medical equipment planner. Locate cutsheets and specifications for assigned technology. Perform basic QA/QC tasks to help ensure medical equipment lists are complete and accurate. Participate in client user meetings to support the medical equipment planner and take meeting minutes for publication. Assist with onsite inventory and assessments of existing medical equipment as needed. Review project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to milestone submission. Required Skills and Abilities Strong interest in healthcare design, operations, and technology. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong oral and written communication skills for interacting with individuals and groups. Education and Experience Completed at least 2 years toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Bio-Medical Engineering, or an equivalent program, required. Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred. Physical Requirements Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds. Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull.
Salary:
