Job Description

Company Overview IHP Hospitalists is a leading provider of inpatient medical management, dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care and achieving key healthcare metrics. Our leadership team comprises experienced physicians specializing in hospital medicine, committed to supporting clinicians in developing effective protocols and enhancing hospital performance. Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented MOKAN Program Coordinator to oversee the coordination and administration of our regional hospitalist programs. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, leadership qualities, and a background in education or healthcare administration. As the MOKAN Program Coordinator, you will facilitate program development, manage budgets, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of initiatives that improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Duties Lead the planning, organization, and execution of program activities across multiple hospital sites within the MOKAN region. Serve as liaison between physicians, APPs, hospital administration, nursing leadership, hospital departments, and IHP Corporate Office. Assist Medical Directors with daily operations, physician engagement, recruitment, onboarding, retention, outreach activities, educational programs, committee meetings, strategic initiatives, hospital relations, and business development initiatives. Prepare and coordinate physician and APP schedules, maintain call schedules, Outlook calendars, and provider communications. Monitor physician assignments, patient census, observation patients, throughput, length of stay, provider productivity, and daily operational workflow. Provide administrative support including reports, dashboards, presentations, meeting agendas, correspondence, and meeting minutes. Reconcile physician census with billing records and ensure all eligible encounters are billed accurately and timely. Identify missed billing, reconcile billing discrepancies, coordinate with providers, HIM, CDI, Coding, and Revenue Cycle teams, and ensure documentation is completed for billing. Monitor chart deficiencies, incomplete records, unsigned charts, discharge summaries, and physician documentation; follow up with providers until completed. Assist with payroll reconciliation, billing reconciliation, operational reports, and financial tracking. Monitor credentialing, licensure, DEA registration, privileges, compliance, and support Joint Commission, CMS, and regulatory readiness. Collect, analyze, and report operational, scheduling, billing, productivity, and quality data. Assist Recruitment and Credentialing teams with interviews, onboarding, privileging, and payer enrollment. Maintain confidentiality, comply with HIPAA, Company policies, hospital policies, and applicable federal and Michigan law. Maintain professional relationships and support quality improvement, patient satisfaction, and operational excellence. Perform any other administrative, operational, scheduling, billing, documentation, compliance, recruitment, outreach, physician relations, reporting, project management, or business duties assigned by the Medical Directors, Director of Operations, Account Manager, or IHP Corporate Leadership. Qualifications Proven experience in project management within healthcare or educational settings, with a focus on program coordination or administration. Strong budgeting skills with experience managing financial resources effectively. Background in teaching or curriculum development, preferably within higher education or clinical training environments. Demonstrated leadership abilities. Knowledge of grant proposal writing and securing funding for healthcare or educational programs. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
