Wilson Sonsini is seeking an associate with 2-4 years of experience working in healthcare law to join its healthcare regulatory team. This position is an opportunity to work exclusively on health innovation, representing companies across all stages, from pre-formation to capital markets as well as public health tech companies. We are looking for attorneys with a strong interest in the use of technology in healthcare, including artificial intelligence, healthcare IT, telehealth/telemedicine, remote patient monitoring, wearables, and health apps, and who are passionate about using technology to shape the future of healthcare. The ideal candidate will have experience in at least some of the following areas: advising on a variety of healthcare regulatory issues, such as the corporate practice of medicine and state law considerations for multi-state digital health practices; federal, commercial, and self-insured payor reimbursement; value-based care and accountable care organizations; fraud and abuse, including Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark law, False Claims Act, fee-splitting, and other state fraud and abuse laws; HIPAA and state health privacy laws; federal and state laws governing health data exchange and interoperability; state health-care transaction notification laws; Knox-Keene; and state laws relating to the use of AI in healthcare. If you have meaningful experience in several of these areas and a genuine interest in the others, we encourage you to apply. Candidates must have strong writing and analytical skills, superior organizational and project management skills, be detail-oriented, be skilled at learning new issues quickly, be client service-oriented, and have good judgment. The candidate should be open to periodic travel to client events and healthcare conferences. Other Wilson Sonsini office locations may be considered for exceptional candidates Compensation and Benefits Salary range of $235,000 - $310,000, based on year classification. Discretionary merit bonuses may also be awarded.
