Job Description
Job Title:
Project Architect Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Architecture. + 8+ years of architectural experience, preferably with K-12, healthcare, educational, or laboratory projects. + Proven project management experience, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and leading project teams. + Demonstrated experience interfacing directly with clients, gathering requirements, and managing client relationships. + Proficiency in Revit or AutoCAD for design and production of construction documents and drawings. + Strong experience in construction administration and construction documentation. + Ability to design and develop floor plan layouts for complex facilities. + Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, including MEP, electrical, interior design, and architecture. + Solid understanding of project coordination processes and best practices. + Strong communication and organizational skills to manage meetings, deadlines, and stakeholder expectations. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with SketchUp for 3D modeling and visualization. + Registered Architect credential is a plus. + Previous experience serving as a Project Manager on architectural projects. + Knowledge of healthcare project requirements, including health codes and Health Department standards. + Experience with facility design, particularly in healthcare and educational environments. + Interest in developing deeper expertise in healthcare and education projects. + Ability to research and apply new market information to project strategies and design solutions. + Leadership skills and desire to grow into or continue in a project management capacity. + Ability to work effectively in an open, collaborative office environment. Job Description This Project Architect role offers the opportunity to manage and lead architectural projects from concept through completion, with a focus on healthcare, educational, and laboratory facilities. You will oversee small to medium-sized projects, occasionally contributing to larger-scale work, while coordinating multidisciplinary teams, interfacing directly with clients, and participating in design development using Revit and AutoCAD. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kalamazoo, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.48 - $50.48/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
