The 988 Crisis Now Staff Manager will: Ensure the effective delivery of crisis intervention services across New Mexico by supervising the Specialized Behavioral Health Services Crisis Program Coordinators; Support the coordinators as they assist providers in implementing crisis services tailored to individuals with mental health and substance use needs; Place particular emphasis on serving rural and culturally diverse communities; Provide strong organizational and communication skills along with a deep commitment to culturally responsive care. How does it get done? The 988 Crisis Now Staff Manager is responsible for: Overseeing the implementation and delivery of 988 Crisis Now services, including substance use treatment and related program initiatives ensuring alignment with strategic goals; Establishing and maintaining effective communication protocols with internal teams, external stakeholders and partner agencies; Using collaboration platforms and project management tools to support information sharing and coordination; Developing and implementing protocols for the 988 Crisis Now system; Managing multiple priorities and delegating tasks effectively based on urgency and impact; Leading and coordinating the New Mexico 988 Crisis Now Learning Communities ensuring efficient workflows, clear processes and regular performance feedback. Who are the customers? Citizens of New Mexico; The Statewide Provider Network; Health Care Authority (HCA); Behavioral Health Services Division (BHSD). Ideal Candidate Citizens of New Mexico; The Statewide Provider Network; Health Care Authority (HCA); Behavioral Health Services Division (BHSD). Minimum Qualification Associate degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Statistics, Finance, or a related field and three (3) years of experience with a public assistance program, medical, healthcare, educational, or state facility working with policies and procedures, conducting analysis/research, providing or requesting information from the general public, working with communities, working on health or social service related matters, social work/case management, behavioral health, and/or health care. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling five (5) years may substitute for the required education and experience. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must obtain a Defensive Driving certification. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), extensive personal computer and phone usage with extended periods of sitting.
