The Presumptive Eligibility Healthcare Program Supervisor will: Manage the New Mexico Medicaid Presumptive Eligibility (PE) program unit within the Communication and Education Bureau; Create, manage and monitor program policy and goals supporting the Presumptive Eligibility program; Supervise staff, internal and external operational functions, activities and assignments including IT system changes and provide feedback and proposals for the continuous improvement of the PE program; Monitor contracts, financial obligations, reporting and contract deliverables. How does it get done? The Presumptive Eligibility Healthcare Program Supervisor is responsible for: Oversight and supervision of daily operations; Ensuring recruitment, selection, supervising and monitoring staff in the Presumptive Eligibility unit; Managing operational program policies, procedures, and workflows; Managing IT system enhancements for the program and ensuring new policy requirements are added efficiently; Assigning duties, monitoring staff performance, and ensuring smooth collaboration within the team; Conducting regular performance assessments to ensure staff meet program standards and identify needs for additional training; Monitoring data collection, evaluating operational framework and performance outcomes to drive continuous improvement; Evaluating programmatic and operational compliance; Escalating internal and or external operational IT system or and recommending solutions bureau chief. Who are the customers? Internal and external partners, providers, Presumptive Eligibility Determiners (PEDs), Medicaid members and applicants. Ideal Candidate Internal and external partners, providers, Presumptive Eligibility Determiners (PEDs), Medicaid members and applicants. Minimum Qualification Associate degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Statistics, Finance, or a related field and three (3) years of experience with a public assistance program, medical, healthcare, educational, or state facility working with policies and procedures, conducting analysis/research, providing or requesting information from the general public, working with communities, working on health or social service related matters, social work/case management, behavioral health, and/or health care. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling five (5) years may substitute for the required education and experience. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must obtain a Defensive Driving certification. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), extensive personal computer and phone usage with extended periods of sitting.
