Roles & Responsibilities We are seeking a Senior / Manager-level Project Engineer (MEP) to support engineering projects within the healthcare sector, with a strong focus on Pneumatic Tube Systems (PTS), hospital automation, and complex MEP coordination. This role involves both pre-contract (tendering) and post-award project execution, making it ideal for a technically hands-on individual who is experienced in managing coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning within healthcare or complex building environments. Key Responsibilities Tender & Pre-Contract Phase Review and interpret tender drawings, technical specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BQ) related to hospital automation systems, Pneumatic Tube Systems (PTS), and MEP works.
Source, assess, and compare quotations from equipment suppliers, piping vendors, and subcontractors.
Prepare technical submissions including proposals, method statements, compliance matrices, and system schematics.
Support tender clarifications and collaborate with internal stakeholders throughout the bidding process. Post-Award & Site Execution Phase Work with drafting teams to develop detailed shop drawings and support BIM/Revit coordination.
Coordinate with other MEP disciplines (HVAC, medical gas, electrical, etc.) to resolve routing and spatial constraints.
Oversee installation of pneumatic transport systems, including piping networks, diverters, blower units, and user stations.
Ensure compliance with hospital safety standards, infection control protocols, and project quality requirements.
Lead testing and commissioning activities such as pressure testing, system setup, routing configuration, and integration with hospital systems where applicable.
Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely project delivery. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Building Services, or a related field.
Approximately 2 to 5 years of experience in MEP construction or project engineering.
Experience in Pneumatic Tube Systems (PTS), Medical Gas systems, healthcare projects, or automated material handling systems is highly advantageous.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and MEP drawings or schematics.
Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; familiarity with BIM tools such as Revit or Navisworks is an added advantage.
Understanding of Singapore construction practices, tender processes, and site coordination requirements.
Knowledge of public sector tendering (e.g., GeBIZ), BCA regulations, or hospital project environments is beneficial.
