Work Flexibility:
Remote The Area HEMA Manager works independently, supporting the reimbursement and market access development to improve access for patients, providers, and payors to the organization's technology and product portfolio, as well as the primary expert in the field in all areas related to reimbursement of the company's products.
What you will do:
Educate providers and staff on payer policies, coverage criteria, and other reimbursement topics. Develop, utilize, and improve internal systems, processes, and tools for improving patient access in collaboration with Sales, Clinical, and Market Access teams. Act as the key liaison between sales teams, healthcare providers, billing and coding staff, and other health system stakeholders on monitoring and addressing reimbursement questions. Serve as the primary contract for reimbursement support and educating new and existing customers on billing, coding, national and local coverage policies, and good clinical documentation. Monitor regional policy changes and work closely with the Market Access team to ensure the company has the latest coding information, coverage policies, claims outcomes, and treatment guidelines. Broad knowledge of healthcare documentation, medical policy guidelines, compliance, billing, coding, and reimbursement related to surgical devices or buy-and-bill. Strong problem-solving and business acumen skills with an ability to work independently, manage priorities, and develop strong relationships with customers and colleagues. What you need (Required) : Bachelor's degree or high school diploma Minimum 14 years of experience if a bachelor's degree is not acquired 8 years of experience if a bachelor's degree is acquired Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare reimbursement practices, billing procedures, compliance, coding, and medical terminology Experience in CPT coding, surgical ICD-10 codes, and billing. Experience calling on A/B MACs regarding the implementation of Local Coverage Determinations. Strong background in sales, management, inpatient/outpatient coding, and reimbursement for surgical procedures.
Preferred:
Medical device, biotech, or medical/hospital management industry.

- Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid
