Job Description

Project Architect, Healthcare The Healthcare Project Architect is responsible for leading healthcare projects from schematic design through project completion. This role serves as a key liaison between the design team, consultants, vendors, contractors, and clients, ensuring projects are delivered with high-quality documentation, effective coordination, adherence to schedule and fee requirements, and alignment with design intent. Key Responsibilities Lead healthcare projects through all phases of design and construction.

Develop and coordinate contract documents and project deliverables.

Collaborate with clients, consultants, vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project success.

Maintain project quality, design intent, schedules, budgets, and coordination throughout delivery. Apply healthcare design expertise to support planning and design decisions for:

Outpatient facilitiesInpatient facilitiesBehavioral health environments Ensure compliance with building codes, FGI guidelines, sustainability standards, and healthcare regulations.

Coordinate with local authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) and support permitting efforts.

Communicate updates, revisions, priorities, and project requirements to stakeholders.

Lead project teams and mentor staff while supporting client relationships. Required Qualifications Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.6-10 years of healthcare design experience.

Expert knowledge of:

FGI (Facility Guidelines Institute) standardsBuilding codes and healthcare regulationsArchitectural building systemsSustainability guidelinesExperience designing healthcare environments, including outpatient, inpatient, and behavioral health facilities.
Proficiency in:
Revit AutoCAD Microsoft Office Suite Experience with 3D rendering software and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus. Strong communication, leadership, and client management skills. Proven ability to lead teams and guide clients throughout the design process.
