Job Description

Senior Program Manager Transform technology into opportunity as a Senior Program Manager with GDIT. GDIT will provide lifecycle activities for software improvement and web/interface design including, but not limited to planning, business process/application analysis, requirements definition, design alternatives, user-centered design, development, testing/validation, user-centered testing, accessibility compliance testing, integration, implementation, deployment, and training for waterfall, hybrid and agile methodologies. The Senior Program Manager supports the Program Director who has the ultimate responsibility for contractor resources and the accomplishment of all work assigned to this contract (including all task orders). The PM demonstrates the experience and ability to serve as the Contractor's overall on-site manager and coordinator for all work, activities, issues and other contractual obligations relating to this contract. Demonstrates the experience and ability to serve as the Contractor's authorized interface with the Government Contracting Officer (CO), the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR), Government management personnel, and customer Agency representatives.
HOW THE SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Organizes resources to support complex and large numbers of multiple task orders simultaneously and manages the execution of those task orders Plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of assigned personnel and provides technical area leadership across multiple components Conducts oral and written communications on status and issues with the Program Director for planning and control of multiple task orders across multiple components Anticipates issues or problems and works to mitigate or negate the anticipated effects of the problems. Ensures events and meetings are accurately documented and recorded Responsible for the technical performance of tasks within multiple technical areas and/or components, the coordination of travel and training requirements, and the estimation of required resources for the completion of existing and new statements of work.

Acts as the coordinator for complex and large numbers of multiple assignments that, although covered by separate task orders, are closely related under the Technical Areas (tasks) and require effective coordination for successful performance. Reports directly to the Program Director and will interface with the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) and Government management personnel. Must maintain an in-depth knowledge of SSA's lifecycles, standards, and supporting Software Improvement Practices. Possesses superior oral and written communications skills to clearly and effectively convey issues, reports, and other deliverables to SSA counterparts. Ability to create and comprehensive change management plans encompassing communication, stakeholder engagement, and training.

Skilled in evaluating process or system changes for downstream impacts, including dependencies, testing requirements, documentation updates, and user adoption needs.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bachelor's degree or higher 5+ years journeyman level IT experience OR Intermediate level IT certifications, such as an Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Program management Professional (PgMP) or equivalent Federal program management certification5+ years managing complex, large multi-year programs; scheduling; skilled in risk management; resource allocations; and cost benefit analysis.

Skilled using tools such as Microsoft Project, Office-Excel, Word PowerPoint, and presentation tools
