Job Description
Job Title:
Senior Program Manager - Alzheimer's Disease Research Consortium Job Description This Senior Program Manager role supports a new, high-impact consortium that uses AI to accelerate Alzheimer's disease research. You will operate as a Senior, independent contributor who owns complex, multi-workstream program operations with minimal procedural direction. Working closely with scientific, technical, and strategy leaders, you will ensure that governance, technical development, data agreements, and partner engagement all run smoothly and on schedule. This is an opportunity to be one of the earliest hires on a growing team and help build a rigorous, scalable program structure from the ground up. Responsibilities Serve as the day-to-day operational program management lead for the consortium, taking ownership of complex, multi-workstream activities and ensuring high-quality execution across all major operational functions. Ensure all operational processes run with precision and consistency, proactively identify gaps and risks, and determine when to escalate issues versus when to act independently to resolve them. Manage governance operations for the Steering Committee and other committees and working groups, including preparation of agendas, pre-read materials, and supporting documentation for monthly meetings. Oversee the development, review, and distribution of Steering Committee meeting materials, ensuring all documents are approved by leadership before they are shared with members. Guide and oversee the Administrative Coordinator on logistics for monthly virtual Steering Committee meetings, including platform setup, attendance tracking, recordings, and transcripts. Coordinate quarterly in-person Steering Committee meetings held alongside major Alzheimer's disease conferences, including venue arrangements, catering, audiovisual needs, and travel coordination. Assist the Operations Program Leader with drafting and distributing Steering Committee meeting minutes, extracting action items, maintaining an action item tracker, and following up with action owners to ensure timely completion. Support the Operations Program Leader in coordinating Valuation Committee activities, including scheduling meetings, managing scoring logistics, performing variance analysis, and preparing documentation and materials for Steering Committee approval. Maintain and update the member contribution tracker by logging commitments, monitoring against the Minimum Required Contribution schedule, sending reminders, and flagging any compliance issues to leadership. Coordinate the onboarding process for new consortium members to ensure a smooth and consistent experience. Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree required, preferably in life sciences, public health, research administration, health administration, business administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in program management, research administration, or a closely related field. At least 3 years of experience independently managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs, such as research consortia, multi-partner research initiatives, sponsored research programs, or similar efforts. Proven experience managing programs involving multiple partner organizations, formal governance structures, or structured agreement frameworks. Demonstrated expertise in program and project management, including the ability to map program activities to strategic goals, identify gaps and risks, and determine appropriate escalation paths. Experience with contract or agreement lifecycle management, including drafting, routing for review, tracking execution, and monitoring compliance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in an academic medical center, research university, or life sciences organization. Familiarity with data use agreements, research data governance, or federated data frameworks. Experience coordinating with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or technology industry partners in a research context. Familiarity with AI and machine learning research programs or biomedical informatics environments, with an emphasis on program management in these areas rather than deep technical expertise.
