The Audiology Clinic at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System is excited to announce open positions for Audiology Externs for 2027-2028. This position will be available from June 1, 2027 to mid-May, 2028. Our externs will primarily work at both of our Audiology Clinics located in Little Rock and North Little Rock, Arkansas. There may be an opportunity to travel to one of our two Community Based Outreach Clinics (CBOC) located in Hot Springs and Conway. Tour of Duty will be Monday-Friday 7:30 am-4:00 pm. All of our Audiology clinics service an adult/geriatric population and provide experience in diagnostic testing, hearing aid assessments, hearing aid fittings, tinnitus assessment and management, Cochlear Implants, ABR, VNG, and Posturography. We see patients in-house and via TeleHealth. As a member of one of the world's largest integrated health care systems, the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) is a tertiary care, level 1a facility that serves as a health care provider for more than 74,000 Veterans and is a referral center for VA Medical Centers in surrounding states. CAVHS consists of two large campuses located in Little Rock and North Little Rock, Arkansas as well as eight satellite clinics in Searcy, Pine Bluff, Conway, Mena, El Dorado, Mountain Home, Hot Springs, and Russellville. Appropriately, Arkansas is nicknamed the Natural State due to our 52 state parks, 8 national parks, and 3 national forests
