Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Hearing Aid Dispenser to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive hearing assessments, dispense hearing aids, and deliver exceptional patient service. Your expertise will help improve the quality of life for individuals experiencing hearing difficulties by offering personalized solutions and ongoing support. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including evaluating hearing health, physiology, and anatomy knowledge to determine hearing needs. Dispense, fit, and adjust hearing aids based on individual patient requirements, ensuring optimal comfort and performance. Educate patients on device operation, maintenance, and care to maximize their hearing experience. Perform intake procedures, gather medical histories, and document findings using medical terminology and ICD coding where applicable. Collaborate with audiologists, ENT specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, assessments, and device prescriptions in compliance with occupational health standards. Stay current with advancements in hearing aid technology and industry best practices to provide cutting-edge solutions. Qualifications Proven experience or certification as a Hearing Aid Dispenser or similar role within the audiology or hearing healthcare field. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy related to the auditory system, and pediatrics as it pertains to hearing health. Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding, and patient assessment techniques. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and compassionately. Ability to perform intake procedures efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of occupational health standards relevant to clinical practice environments.
