Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Histology Technician, where you will play a vital role in preparing and processing tissue specimens for diagnostic and research purposes. Your expertise will support accurate disease diagnosis, advancing medical research, and ensuring high-quality patient care. You will collaborate with pathologists, laboratory staff, and healthcare professionals to deliver reliable results that guide critical medical decisions. Duties Prepare tissue specimens through grossing, embedding, sectioning, staining, and mounting using precise laboratory techniques. Accurately process and handle biological samples, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and specimen integrity. Assist with specimen collection and processing from patients or research subjects while maintaining strict aseptic techniques. Perform routine laboratory procedures including tissue fixation, microtomy, staining (such as H&E), and quality control checks. Maintain detailed records of all procedures performed, adhering to laboratory protocols and medical terminology standards. Support patient care activities by understanding physiology and anatomy relevant to specimen collection and processing. Ensure laboratory safety standards are upheld by practicing proper aseptic techniques and managing biohazard materials responsibly. Qualifications Prior experience in clinical or research laboratories working with histological techniques or tissue processing. Knowledge of pathology principles, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to histology work. Experience with specimen processing and handling in hospital or laboratory settings. Familiarity with laboratory procedures including fixation, embedding, sectioning (microtomy), staining, and slide preparation. Ability to accurately measure vital signs when necessary for patient-related activities such as phlebotomy or specimen collection. Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols including aseptic technique and biohazard management. Pay:
