Job Description
SUMMARY:
Seeking an experienced Histology Technician to join its Hospital Clinical Laboratory on a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong hospital-based histology experience with demonstrated expertise in grossing (required), embedding, microtomy, staining, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and cytology specimen preparation. Candidates with extensive experience (10+ years) are encouraged to apply, especially first-time travelers. Key Responsibilities- Perform gross examination and preparation of routine anatomical pathology specimens.
- Minimum 2 years of Histology Technician experience in a hospital clinical laboratory .
- Grossing experience is required (Hard Stop). Strong experience in hospital anatomical pathology. Associate's Degree in Science or related field. ASCP Histotechnician (HT) Certification preferred.
- California State License. Any Specific Mandate skill required
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record (EMR).
