Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician specializing in pathology and histology to join our dynamic medical research and clinical laboratory team. In this role, you will perform a variety of laboratory procedures, including tissue sample preparation, histological techniques, and pathology testing, to support diagnostic and research initiatives. Your expertise will contribute to accurate specimen analysis, ensuring high-quality results that advance patient care and scientific discovery. Responsibilities Perform histological procedures to prepare surgical and biopsy specimens for pathological diagnosis. Embed, cut, mount, stain, and coverslip tissue specimens. Prepare and process frozen sections for intraoperative diagnosis. Perform Hematoxylin & Eosin (H&E) staining and special histochemical stains. Identify and process a variety of surgical and autopsy tissue specimens. Maintain quality assurance standards and follow established laboratory procedures. Operate histology equipment and maintain accurate laboratory documentation. Requirements Graduate of an accredited Histology Program Active Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) Certification•Required ASCP Certification•Required Minimum 3 years of Histology experience Strong knowledge of: Tissue embedding, cutting, and mounting Surgical and autopsy pathology Frozen section preparation H&E staining and special histochemical procedures Basic computer skills required
