Central Connecticut Dermatology Mohs Histology Technician/Medical Assistant

Dermatologic Surgery• : Cromwell and Bloomfield Locations • Current schedule is Monday-Thursday, full-time, working in both office locations on a fixed schedule. The expected weekly schedule is Monday/Wednesday in our Bloomfield office and Tuesday/Thursday in our Cromwell location. We are seeking a Histology Technician with experience in processing Mohs histology slides, who is also willing to work as a medical assistant with our team as needed. Duties include, but are not limited to: lab preparation, processing histology tissue for Mohs procedures, prepping rooms for surgery, and sterilizing instruments. Ideal candidates should be able to multi-task and work within a team environment.

Key Competencies:

includes some/all of the following based on physician needs • Setting up lab and processing histology tissue Performs patient callbacks under the supervision of the physician Prepares, stocks, and cleans the exam rooms Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization of equipment Performs other duties as requested Must be willing to work in both the Bloomfield and Cromwell locations

Education:

• High School Diploma/GED required H.T. certified preferred but not required
