Job Description

Responsibilities In this role the Diener/Prep Technician will perform the following job duties: Report directly to the supervisor of the assigned area. Provide autopsy services as directed by the case attending pathologist. Assist with the autopsy procedure, maintains equipment and stocks supplies used in Morgue and Gross Room. Ordering, accessioning, specimen processing and test preparation functions. Prioritize duties to maximize efficiency. Dispose of waste specimens and chemicals. Provide excellent customer service with lab employees, other hospital departments and external customers.

High School Diploma or GED Preferred:
Associate's Degree Necessary Skills:
Demonstrates teamwork and communicates in a professional manner with all members of the healthcare team. Demonstrates the ability to learn and apply computer technologies and procedures that affect patient care.
Experience Required:
1-2 years of experience performing autopsies
Preferred:
2 years of experience performing autopsies
Required Licensure/Certifications:
