HTL Certification Full Job Description Description:
We are seeking either a Histotechnologist or Histotechnician to join our day shift! This full-time position (5:00 AM - 1:30 PM Monday - Friday with Saturday rotation) is responsible for: Processing, embedding, sectioning, staining and labeling of surgical specimens. Performing high complexity testing and special staining as assigned under the direction of appropriate personnel. Preparing reagents and dilutions for special stains and performs special stains, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence stains.
Requirements:
Option 1 Histotechnologist (HTL): Bachelors' of Science degree and completion of a histotechnology program. Certification as a histotechnologist (HTL) by an appropriate accrediting agency ie ASCP. Previous histology experience desired. Option 2 Histotech (HT): High school graduate with completion of an accredited histology program. Certification as a histotechnician (HT) by an appropriate accrediting agency ie ASCP. Previous histology experience desired.
