Cytology Histology Laboratory Technician I University of Maryland Medical System - 3.5 Baltimore, MD Job Details Full-time 23 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Job Requirements Overview Under the direct supervision of anatomical pathology management, retrieves and accessions anatomic pathology specimens. Prepares fluid and tissue specimens for evaluation. Key Responsibilities Retrieves surgical pathology and cytology specimens from designated locations. Accessions cytopathology and/or surgical pathology specimens. Checks accuracy of specimen labeling; identifies and initiates steps to resolve discrepancies. Answers phones and responds to customer inquiries and requests. Performs other related duties as assigned.
