Responsibilities:
The purpose of a Histotechnician is the processing of surgical specimens to preserve the tissue morphology and cell structure. Prepares quality and representative tissue sections on glass slides for microscopic evaluation and performs special stains, including immunohistochemical (IHC) procedures as requested by the pathologist.
Qualifications:
Successful completion of Histotechnician Program from a NAACLS accredited School; or an Associate Degree and training at a hospital and met ASCP eligibility requirements for certification; or ASCP certified. 2 years experience in Histology preferred. ASCP (preferred) or eligible Working knowledge of Special Stains/IHC Technique Performs frozen sections

Max:
USD $43.11/Hr.
