Histotechnician I Saint Louis, Missouri Laboratory Days Full-Time 115132 $23.10 - $38.36 / hour (Salary or hourly rate is based on job qualifications and relevant work experience) Job Description Additional Information About the Role BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time Histotechnician I at Missouri Baptist Medical Center (MBMC) - Surgical Pathology Dept Sign-On Bonus (for eligible applicants)
Position Details:
Day Shift Hours:
(Mon-Fri) with a Set Start Time of always 5:00am Flexible schedule! 4 or 5 days per week at 10 or 8-hour shifts starting at 5:00am Possible Weekend Rotation No Holidays!!!
Experience:
Non-Reg with at least 2-3 years of Histo (embedding/microtomy) experience will be considered Embedding, microtomy and IHC experience (preferred) Histology Technician, Histologist, HISTOTECHNICIAN, Histotechnician, Histo Technician, Histology Technician, histotechnician, Histotehnologist, Histotech, Histotechnologist, certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), histotechnology
Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Responsible for providing a variety of basic routine tests and procedures on tissue and related surgical specimens submitted for histological examination. Responsibilities Tasks limited to microtomy, embedding, staining. Performs and documents quality controls for all equipment and troubleshoots malfunctioning instrumentation as necessary. Understands maintenance, troubleshooting and operation of all instrumentation in assigned areas. Has minimal understanding of test principles.
