Job Description

Certified Histotechnician A leading clinical research organization is searching for a Certified Histotechnician to join a high-impact team working across clinical, diagnostic, and therapeutic research. You'll work hands-on with advanced platforms and collaborate with scientists and project teams driving meaningful breakthroughs! •Must be certified!•

$28-$40/hr
DOE Schedule:
M-F 8a-5pm
Terms:
6-month project with potential extension
Location:
Houston, TX What You'll Do Tissue Processing & Microtomy — Embed, trim, and section tissue at required thicknesses with accuracy and consistency. Support accessioning, frozen sections, grossing assistance, fixation, dehydration, embedding, microtomy, decalcification, coverslipping, and routine H&E staining. Run IHC protocols using Leica Bond III and Ventana systems; assist with assay setup, optimization, and troubleshooting. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Leica Bond III and Roche Ventana platforms to ensure smooth workflow. Verify control slides, assess staining quality, and maintain high accuracy across all steps. Scan slides and ensure image clarity for downstream analysis. Follow OSHA, CAP, HIPAA, and internal safety standards. Support efficient lab operations and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing environment. Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field HT or HTL certification is required. 6+ months of industry experience in a clinical or research setting Experience with Leica Bond & Roche instrumentation •This job description is a complete list of all desired skills but not all are required.
