Responsibilities Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare teams Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals and assist with cooking to meet dietary needs and preferences Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure proper use for resident transfers while maintaining safety protocols Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through regular cleaning duties to promote hygiene and comfort Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA standards and facility policies Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to foster mental stimulation and emotional well-being Support residents with specialized needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, or other developmental disabilities Follow emergency procedures including CPR certification protocols when necessary to ensure resident safety during incidents Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and care planning is essential Experience with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care or hospice settings is a plus Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality is required Demonstrated ability to work compassionately with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident transfers Strong communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams, residents, and families Embark on a rewarding career path where your dedication directly enhances the quality of life for those you serve.
