Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities and personal care. As a vital member of our caregiving team, you will help improve the quality of life for residents by delivering personalized, respectful, and attentive care. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately while adhering to HIPAA privacy regulations. Prepare nutritious meals according to care plans and assist residents with eating if needed, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed precisely. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties, laundry, and sanitation tasks consistent with health standards. Support residents with medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety protocols. Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Follow detailed care plans developed by healthcare professionals to deliver personalized support tailored to each individual's needs. Qualifications Knowledge of HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality is essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with transfers using equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely (if needed) Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in condition or behavior. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, residents, families, and healthcare providers. Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings as needed to ensure continuous resident support.
